STAFF ESPACES VOLUMES, proudly certified as a Living Heritage Company (Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant - EPV) since 2016, has specialized since 1988 in the restoration and creation of decorative staff elements. These include cornices, mouldings, bas-reliefs, architectural ornaments, ceilings, fireplaces, staircases, furniture, and on-site installations for a variety of projects (apartments, houses, hotels, offices, boutiques, restaurants, museums, private mansions, and historical monuments).
Our expertise in staff techniques enables us to work on prestigious and listed sites, restoring the splendor of architectural ornaments and stylistic elements.
We offer a comprehensive range of services, including project studies, design, execution plans, crafting elements in clay or resin, taking elastomer impressions, creating models and prototypes, developing molds, crafting decorative architectural elements in staff, and installing them both in France and abroad.

Our story
Staff Espaces Volumes was founded in 1988 by Jean-Baptiste Lasmartres, a master staff craftsman with 53 years of experience and a vocational diploma (CAP) earned at the Le Gué à Tresmes technical school. His career began at Brobecker, a specialist in the restoration of historic monuments, where he worked on prestigious projects such as the ceiling of the Paris Opera with Chagall, the Comédie Française, and the Picasso Museum.

The workshop
Staff Espaces Volumes
Staff Espaces Volumes specializes in the art of ornamental staff craftsmanship, serving clients in Paris, across France, and internationally.
Our atelier produces decorative elements using traditional techniques, crafting pieces "the old-fashioned way," and installing them in both new and historic constructions. We design and create custom-made objects and decorative elements for buildings, suited for interior spaces. Each project is bespoke, with every order and mold uniquely tailored to meet the client's needs. Operating at the crossroads of structural and finishing work, we collaborate closely with other trades, including painters, carpenters, gilders, masons, and electricians, to seamlessly integrate our work into the overall project.
The company handles a wide range of restoration projects for architectural and decorative plaster elements. This includes on-site mold creation, the design and crafting of molds and casts at our workshops in Saint-Denis, and the precise installation of these pieces by our skilled teams of craftsmen.

Each project is bespoke, with every order and mold uniquely tailored to meet the client's needs.

L'Orfèvrerie
Since July 2024, the Staff Espaces Volumes workshop has taken up residence in the iconic “l’Orfèvrerie”.
Located on the outskirts of Paris, l’Orfèvrerie stands as a vibrant hub dedicated to the craftsmanship of the decorative arts. Formerly the Christofle factory, renowned for its expertise in silversmithing, this historic industrial site has been transformed into a unique space that brings together carpenters, blacksmiths, stonemasons, decorative painters, marble workers, masons, and staff craftsmen.
Within its red brick walls, a diverse group of artisans, designers, and experts converge, each bringing a wealth of skills, perspectives, and styles. This collaboration fosters an environment rich in creativity and innovation. In the workshops, exceptional craftsmanship comes to life, imbuing every corner with a dynamic spirit.
Architects, decorators, and enthusiasts meet here to explore this world of artistry, where every creation reflects the passion and expertise of the craftspeople. More than a space, l’Orfèvrerie serves as a living stage, celebrating the richness of artisanal trades while providing a fertile ground for experimentation, dialogue, and collaboration.
This creative energy embodies a powerful ambition: to preserve and enhance time-honored practices, offering them the recognition they deserve. L’Orfèvrerie thus becomes a living showcase of French craftsmanship at its finest.
